Join our growing team in Minneapolis, Minnesota, as a skilled Reach Truck Operator! We need experienced operators to manage the movement of palletized goods within our high-volume distribution center. Your primary responsibility will be to operate a reach truck to put away and retrieve inventory efficiently and safely. This role is critical for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring timely order fulfillment within our logistics operations. The ideal candidate possesses a strong safety record, excellent control of the reach truck, and a thorough understanding of warehouse safety standards. A valid certification or proven experience operating reach trucks is essential. We are committed to a safe working environment; therefore, the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and strict adherence to all safety protocols are required. This position requires operating specialized machinery and the ability to perform lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to move, put away, and retrieve palletized inventory.
- Accurately place and organize products in designated racking locations.
- Ensure proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of the reach truck.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including aisles and staging areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Report any equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
- Support overall warehouse operations and logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift/reach truck certification or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
