You will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating various types of forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack materials. This role is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that goods are moved seamlessly and safely throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, excellent spatial awareness, and a strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols. A valid forklift certification is required. We prioritize the safety of our employees, mandating the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and conducting regular safety training. The position involves operating machinery and requires the ability to lift items up to 60 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck as applicable) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and organize inventory accurately.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklift equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE and established forklift operating procedures.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions related to safety and logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be able to work flexible hours if required.
