We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Huntsville, Alabama. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement of goods within our state-of-the-art distribution center. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, picking, and preparing materials for shipment. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment throughout the warehouse.
- Receive and process incoming inventory, verifying quantities and quality.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain inventory records and conduct cycle counts as needed.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
