Do you have a passion for operating heavy machinery and a commitment to Safety? We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in San Diego, California. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. You will operate forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory to and from storage areas, and assist in maintaining an organized and productive workspace. This position is essential to the seamless operation of our logistics and supply chain processes.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers with precision and care.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and supplies to and from designated areas.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance needs immediately.
- Assist with receiving and put-away of inventory, ensuring accurate placement.
- Stage finished goods for shipment and verify counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, free from hazards.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with stock management.
- Support the overall logistics and operational goals of the facility.
- Ability to perform tasks involving occasional Lifting of up to 50 pounds when not operating equipment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification (e.g., OSHA-compliant).
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics flow.
- Excellent knowledge of Safety regulations and best practices for forklift operation.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including occasional Lifting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
