We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics operations in Sacramento, California. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. Your duties will include conducting cycle counts, performing physical inventories, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, and maintaining accurate inventory records. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to ensure that all inventory movements are accurately tracked and reported. A thorough understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) is essential, as you will be responsible for updating and managing data within the system. Safety is a top priority; therefore, you must be vigilant in adhering to all safety regulations and using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while moving around the warehouse. While this role may involve some lifting, the primary focus is on accuracy and data management. If you have a sharp eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining precise inventory records, this position offers a great opportunity to contribute to our logistics success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and suggest improvements.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams on inventory-related issues.
- Ensure proper labeling and storage of inventory items.
- Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or overages.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to interpret and analyze data.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Ability to perform some lifting and physical tasks as needed.
