We are seeking a diligent Shipping & Receiving Associate for our San Diego, California facility. This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of all incoming and outgoing goods. You will be responsible for processing inbound shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, stocking received items, preparing outgoing orders, and coordinating with carriers. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong understanding of warehouse procedures and Logistics . Your role directly impacts the accuracy of our inventory and the timeliness of our deliveries. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Accurately document and report any discrepancies or damages.
- Stock received items in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment.
- Generate shipping labels and necessary documentation.
- Coordinate with carriers for shipment pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and ensure the correct use of PPE .
- Perform general warehouse duties, including some Lifting of packages up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with warehouse Logistics and inventory control principles.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and the proper use of PPE .
- Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jack).
- Physical capability to perform tasks including standing for extended periods and occasional Lifting .
- Basic computer skills for documentation and tracking.
