We have an exciting opening for an Inventory Control Specialist in Portland, Oregon. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our warehouse operations by ensuring precise inventory data. The successful candidate will conduct regular inventory counts, investigate and resolve discrepancies, manage stock levels, and contribute to optimizing warehouse flow and layout. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain and update inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Implement and refine inventory control policies and procedures to prevent loss and improve accuracy.
  • Monitor inventory levels, identify and report on obsolete or slow-moving stock.
  • Assist with warehouse organization and space utilization for optimal efficiency.
  • Ensure all inventory is handled and stored correctly according to best practices.
  • Uphold stringent Safety standards, including the mandatory use of all required PPE .
  • Liaise with receiving, putaway, and shipping teams to ensure smooth inventory transitions.
  • Handle tasks requiring occasional moderate Lifting (up to 35 lbs).

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management best practices and warehouse Logistics .
  • Proficiency with WMS software and common office applications (e.g., Excel).
  • Excellent analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Dedicated to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to PPE guidelines.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Capacity to perform tasks including occasional Lifting .
