Responsibilities:
- Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments against order documentation.
- Prepare and print shipping labels and necessary documentation (e.g., bills of lading).
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickup schedules and tracking.
- Inspect packages for proper sealing and labeling before dispatch.
- Maintain organized and accurate shipping records.
- Operate shipping software and warehouse management systems.
- Ensure compliance with all **logistics** and transportation regulations.
- Adhere to all company **safety** policies and **PPE** requirements.
- Communicate with internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Assist with inventory checks and organization of the shipping area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree a plus.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar shipping/receiving role.
- Strong understanding of shipping procedures and carrier requirements.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to perform tasks involving **lifting** up to 30 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace **safety** and proper use of **PPE**.
- Attention to detail is critical for accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with **logistics** principles is advantageous.
