Join our dynamic logistics team as a Material Handler in sunny San Diego, California! We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to support our warehouse operations. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, stocking, and preparing materials for shipment. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our facility. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and efficiency are key. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with physical tasks and possess a strong commitment to safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading materials from trucks.
- Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Accurately picking and staging orders for shipment.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Conducting inventory counts and reporting discrepancies.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Performing regular inspections of equipment before use.
- Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Assisting with other warehouse duties as needed.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred. Must be able to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs regularly. Excellent physical stamina and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods. A strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures is essential. Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime. This position requires a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
