Join our team in Boston, Massachusetts, as an Inventory Control Specialist and play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. In this position, you will be responsible for managing and tracking all incoming and outgoing inventory, conducting regular cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and implementing strategies to optimize inventory levels. Your meticulous approach and understanding of logistics will ensure that our stock is accurately accounted for, minimizing losses and improving operational efficiency. A strong commitment to Safety, including the proper use of PPE and adherence to warehouse Safety protocols, is paramount. This role requires sharp analytical skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic logistics environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of inventory control within the warehouse.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and accurately.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and policies.
- Utilize inventory management software to track stock levels, movements, and status.
- Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure all warehouse Safety guidelines are followed, including the correct use of PPE during inventory checks.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs) and physical inventory checks.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to adhering to all company Safety policies and wearing required PPE.
