Seeking an organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to manage outgoing shipments from our Provo, Utah facility. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be the final point of contact before orders leave our warehouse, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and timely dispatch. Your role is critical to our logistics chain, involving the preparation of shipping labels, processing of shipping orders, and coordinating with carriers. A strong emphasis on Safety, correct PPE usage, and the ability to handle moderate Lifting will be key. This is an excellent opportunity to hone your skills in a fast-paced logistics environment and contribute to customer satisfaction by ensuring orders are shipped correctly and on time. You'll be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our outbound logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Process all outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare shipping labels, manifests, and other shipping documentation.
- Verify order details against packed items for accuracy.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, USPS) for pickups and deliveries.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant departments or customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Communicate with warehouse and sales teams regarding shipment status.
- Operate shipping software and equipment.
- Follow all company Safety protocols and wear required PPE.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with shipping software and common office applications.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety practices.
- Willingness to adhere to all Safety procedures and wear PPE.
