Are you an experienced and certified Forklift Operator? We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin, managing the movement of goods within our busy distribution center. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating powered industrial trucks to load, unload, move, stack, and stage our products. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safe and efficient handling of materials, contributing directly to our overall logistics success. Maintaining a high level of Safety awareness, proper use of PPE, and diligent equipment checks are essential components of this role. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks).
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move products from receiving areas to storage locations, and from storage to staging areas for shipping.
- Stack and organize materials in designated areas, ensuring stability and safety.
- Perform routine pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment and report any defects.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
- Follow all company procedures and protocols related to warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ensure proper PPE is worn and used correctly during all operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a clean driving record.
- Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse Safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial judgment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be able to work various shifts if required.
- Strong understanding of logistics and material flow within a warehouse.
- Willingness to adhere to all company Safety policies and wear required PPE.
