We are looking for a reliable Material Handler to join our logistics team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. You will be involved in tasks such as loading and unloading trucks, operating material handling equipment, and organizing inventory. A strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of goods in our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and store materials in appropriate locations, ensuring proper organization.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Properly use all required PPE and follow all safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory control and stock management.
- Support the overall logistics and operational efficiency of the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Worker, or similar role is preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is a significant plus.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to adhering to all logistics and safety regulations.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
