We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Detroit, Michigan. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. We emphasize the importance of proper lifting techniques and the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order tickets.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure accuracy.
- Use handheld scanners to track inventory movement.
- Operate pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment as needed (training provided).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding any discrepancies or issues.
- Meet established productivity goals.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as required.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of warehouse logistics and order fulfillment processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking role is a plus.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, which may include varying temperatures.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures in a logistics setting.
