This is a crucial role in our logistics network, responsible for various tasks that ensure the smooth operation of our distribution center. You will be involved in receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods. Your efficiency and accuracy directly impact our ability to meet customer demands and maintain our reputation for reliability. This role demands stamina, as it involves standing for long periods and requires the capacity for lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Store products in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper rotation.
- Pick and pack orders accurately using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and packaging.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification provided if needed).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment according to company standards.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and logistics procedures.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is a strong asset.
- Ability to read and understand order details and instructions.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of safety protocols and the importance of using PPE.
