We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team in Nashville, Tennessee. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement and organization of goods within our facility. Your responsibilities will include receiving, unpacking, and stocking materials, as well as preparing outgoing shipments. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment. This position is essential to our logistics operations and requires a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Stock materials and products in designated warehouse locations.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper record-keeping.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations.
- Assist with general warehouse cleanup and organization.
- Follow proper lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
- Ensure all tasks are performed with a focus on safety and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
