We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Inventory Control Specialist for our **logistics** operations in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role is essential for maintaining accurate inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, and ensuring the integrity of our stock. You will be responsible for identifying discrepancies, implementing corrective actions, and optimizing inventory processes to minimize errors and waste. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and a commitment to **Safety** and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role supports the overall **logistics** network by ensuring product availability and accuracy. Some **Lifting** may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement and refine inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder points, coordinating with purchasing teams.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Train warehouse staff on inventory control procedures and **Safety** practices.
- Ensure compliance with all **logistics** and company policies, including **Safety** guidelines and **PPE** usage.
- Assist with **Lifting** and moving inventory items as needed for counts or reorganization.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with WMS and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of **logistics** and supply chain principles.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional **Lifting** up to 30 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse **Safety** protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to wear required **PPE**.
