Are you an experienced Reach Truck Operator? We have an immediate opening for you in Richmond, Virginia. This role requires proficiency in operating a reach truck to move and stack merchandise within our warehouse. You'll play a critical part in our inventory management and order fulfillment processes, ensuring smooth logistics and optimal use of warehouse space. Safety is paramount, and we expect all operators to adhere to strict protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
- Load and unload palletized freight from trucks.
- Pick and replenish inventory accurately using the reach truck.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on the reach truck to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Assist with inventory counts and help maintain accurate stock levels.
- Follow all instructions and contribute to the overall efficiency of warehouse logistics.
- Demonstrate proficiency in lifting and moving heavy loads, following all safety guidelines.
- Identify and report any operational issues or safety concerns.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift/reach truck certification is required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs, when necessary.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
