Join our vibrant logistics team as a Shipping Clerk in New York City, New York! We are looking for an organized and efficient individual to manage our outbound shipments and ensure seamless delivery of our products. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for processing orders, coordinating with carriers, preparing documentation, and maintaining accurate records. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy are paramount to the success of our shipping operations. You will play a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and correct shipments. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities include:
- Accurately preparing and processing all outbound shipments.
- Generating shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary documentation.
- Coordinating with shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, LTL) for pickup schedules.
- Verifying order details against shipping manifests to ensure accuracy.
- Inspecting packages for damage before dispatch and ensuring proper packaging.
- Maintaining organized and up-to-date shipping records and logs.
- Communicating with internal departments and external customers regarding shipment status.
- Adhering to all shipping regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Assisting with inventory reconciliation and stock checks.
- Troubleshooting and resolving any shipping-related discrepancies or issues.
- This role involves some physical activity, including the potential for moderate Lifting .
- Proficiency in using shipping software and carrier management platforms is required.
- A strong emphasis on workplace Safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
- Filing claims for damaged or lost shipments.
- Contributing to the overall efficiency of the warehouse logistics.
