Emerald Engineering is seeking a
Mechanical Designer or Engineer
to join our growing Tampa team. This role is ideal for someone with
hands-on HVAC production experience in healthcare environments
who enjoys turning design concepts into coordinated, buildable systems. If you have experience designing HVAC systems for hospitals or other healthcare facilities and are comfortable working in Revit and AutoCAD, we want to hear from you!
About the Role In this role, you’ll contribute to the design and production of HVAC systems for healthcare facilities, working alongside our talented team of designers and engineers to develop coordinated construction documents.
You’ll participate in projects from early design through construction documentation, assisting with system layouts, equipment selection, and multidisciplinary coordination to ensure projects move forward efficiently and accurately.
What You'll Bring to Emerald 3+ years of experience in mechanical design or engineering, with a focus on HVAC production for healthcare facilities Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for mechanical system design and production Familiarity with healthcare ventilation standards and design considerations, including pressure relationships and critical airflow requirements Experience assisting with HVAC equipment selection and system layout for healthcare environments Experience coordinating mechanical systems with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines Strong attention to detail and a production mindset, with the ability to keep projects moving forward on schedule Clear communication and collaboration skills when working with engineers, designers, and multidisciplinary project teams
