As a Project Manager in the commercial sector, you will play a key role in shaping the urban landscape, supported by a forward-thinking and collaborative organization committed to your professional growth and long-term success.


Key Responsibilities

As the Project Manager (Commercial Buildings), you will lead the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex commercial construction projects. Your leadership will ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment of resources and stakeholder expectations.
  • Monitor project progress throughout the lifecycle, proactively identifying risks and implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors, fostering strong and effective relationships.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and provide clear, consistent updates to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate project teams, ensuring roles, responsibilities, and deliverables are clearly defined and executed.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and accountability, supporting continuous improvement and best practices.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and industry regulations.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality reviews to ensure deliverables meet or exceed client expectations and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee project budgets, procurement processes, and contract negotiations, driving cost control and value engineering initiatives.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, financial forecasts, and key project documentation to stakeholders.


Skills and Qualifications

  • A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • P. Eng. or CET designation is considered an asset.
  • 5+ years of experience managing large-scale Design-Build projects, with a focus on commercial and light industrial sectors.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or Procore.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, building codes, and industry best practices.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Solid understanding of project financials, including estimating, budgeting, cost control, and reporting.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges and drive results.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.
