Schedule: M-F, core business hours – 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day

Overview

We are seeking a Project Director to lead a portfolio of strategic technology initiatives within a financial services environment. This role is responsible for driving Agile delivery across 2–3 complex programs, ensuring alignment with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and enterprise standards.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Technology, Operations, and Business functions to deliver large-scale, multi-platform solutions in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple enterprise technology programs within financial services
• Define and maintain program roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business strategy and regulatory requirements
• Drive Agile/SAFe execution across distributed teams (onshore/offshore)
• Own resource and capacity planning, partnering with finance on budgets, forecasts, and prioritization
• Proactively manage RAID (risks, issues, dependencies), ensuring timely mitigation and escalation
• Provide clear visibility into program health through dashboards, reporting, and steering committee updates
• Act as the escalation point for senior stakeholders, providing data-driven insights and recommendations
• Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, audit requirements, and internal controls
• Collaborate across Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and external vendors

Core Technical Skills

Required

• Enterprise program/project management (Agile, SAFe, Waterfall)
• Strong experience in financial services (banking, insurance, or fintech)
• RAID management and governance in regulated environments
• Budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking
• Stakeholder management at senior/executive levels
• Experience delivering large-scale, multi-platform systems

Preferred

• SAFe Certification
• PMP / PMI certification
• Experience with regulatory-driven programs (e.g., risk, compliance, digital transformation)
• Exposure to AI tools / AI-enabled delivery environments

Nice to Have

• Experience managing regional/global delivery teams
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Clarity

Soft Skills

• Strong leadership and stakeholder influence across senior levels
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making under pressure
• High adaptability in fast-paced, regulated environments
• Ability to manage competing priorities and complex dependencies
• Strong communication across business and technical teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
• 10+ years of program/project management experience in enterprise technology environments
• Proven experience delivering within financial services or regulated industries
