This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sous Chef based in Dildo, NL. The Sous Chef will assist in managing kitchen operations, preparing and plating high-quality meals, ensuring food safety and hygiene, supervising kitchen staff, and maintaining inventory control. The role requires collaborating with the Head Chef to innovate new menu items that reflect the brand's commitment to quality and local flavors. The Sous Chef will also play a key role in training and mentoring kitchen team members, maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
- Strong culinary skills, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Experience in kitchen management, including inventory control, scheduling, and team supervision
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
- Creativity and the ability to contribute to menu development
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
- Adaptability and ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Formal culinary training or certifications are a plus
- Experience working in hospitality or brewery-based food services is an asset
