This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Director to join our growing Ontario team. Working closely with the District Manager-EAST, you will play a key leadership role in shaping and delivering projects across Ontario and the Eastern provinces while contributing to the continued expansion of Industra in Eastern Canada.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Operational Leadership
- Lead and oversee project teams through all phases of execution, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, budgets, and performance standards.
- Establish clear project scope, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Monitor project financial performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain profitability.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
- Facilitate clear communication between clients and project teams to ensure expectations are met and issues are resolved effectively.
- Represent Industra in meetings, presentations, and proposals, articulating the value of our services.
Team Leadership & Development
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to project managers and project teams.
- Foster a high-performance culture aligned with Industra’s values, with a focus on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support the development and consistent application of project management processes and best practices.
Business Development & Growth
- Support business development initiatives, including identifying new opportunities, partnerships, and clients within the Ontario market.
- Participate in industry events, networking opportunities, and professional associations to strengthen Industra’s presence in the region.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to support strategic growth and expansion initiatives.
Technical Oversight & Governance
- Review and approve technical documentation, including designs, specifications, proposals, and cost estimates.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and contractual requirements.
- Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on project status, risks, and performance.
- Perform other duties as required or directed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is a bonus but equivalent relevant relatable construction experience will be considered is most important.
- 15–20 years of experience in construction project or program management, preferably within industrial or heavy civil sectors.
- Strong experience delivering industrial and infrastructure projects; water/wastewater and buildings experience is an asset.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
- Demonstrated ability to drive project performance, manage budgets, and deliver results.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to support business development and client growth.
- PMP designation and/or P.Eng. designation are considered assets.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and perform in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment.

Salary: $175,000- $195,000
Our Toronto office is conveniently located in Mississauga with quick access to major highways including the 401, 403, and 410, making commuting easy from across the GTA. It’s ideally situated for those coming from Mississauga, Brampton, Etobicoke, and Vaughan, with a location that helps avoid heavy downtown Toronto traffic. The office is also close to Pearson International Airport, making it well-suited for project travel.
This is a regional role supporting projects across Eastern Canada and will require periodic travel to project sites and offices, estimated to be 5-7 days per month.
