This is an internship role for an Articling Student. The Articling Student will support legal professionals through legal research, drafting documents, and assisting with case preparations. Responsibilities include attending client meetings, preparing court materials, organizing case files, and working on legal projects in collaboration with senior associates. This position is a hybrid role based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements.
- Strong legal research skills and proficiency in preparing legal documents
- Drafting, proofreading, and attention to detail for accuracy in legal writing
- Organizational skills for managing case files and meeting deadlines
- Effective communication skills for interactions with clients and team members
- Proficiency in legal software and familiarity with courtroom procedures
- Commitment to professionalism, discretion, and maintaining client confidentiality
- Enrollment in or recent completion of a Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree program
- Previous experience in a legal setting or knowledge of Ontario laws is advantageous
