We are hiring a pediatric occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant to work in schools and homes in Northern Arizona and our clinic in Flagstaff Arizona. Working as an employee or a subcontractor is possible. We provide services for clients with physical, mental or developmental conditions across the life span with a focus on the 0-21 population. We also have a school based position for an Occupational Therapist or Assistant in Kayenta Arizona that would include housing.
NRTA is a smaller privately owned company based in the beautiful 4 season town of Flagstaff Arizona. We do have winter here and a nearby ski resort. Summer temperatures will sometimes get in the 90s.
We provide services throughout Northern Arizona including the Navajo, Hopi and Havasupai Reservations. We do pay for travel and mileage. It is possible for the OT to live in surrounding communities in addition to Flagstaff including Sedona, Winslow, Page, or Williams. A bonus of $4800 would be offered.
We are willing to train the right therapist. It is expected this position would include about 60% school based clients, 20% home based early intervention clients and 20% clinic, home or community sessions with Developmentally Disabled clients. We would love to find someone with experience or who would like to learn to provide feeding services.
*Responsibilities*
* Participate as part of the IEP team at schools and IFSP team for home based clients to help develop appropriate Occupational Therapy treatment plans and goals.
* Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
* Assess client’s home and school environments and advice on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities
* Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use
* Guide and educate family members and caregivers
* Observe, note, and report on progress of short term and long term treatment goals

* Willingness to learn and be a part of our OT / COTA team.
* Being able to work with our Speech, Physical and Early Intervention Therapists
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills
* Eligible for Arizona Licensure
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $38.50 - $60.00 per hour
