About the Role

We are on the lookout for a qualified and experienced Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to the fostering community. In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate closely with foster parents to ensure meaningful supervision of placements.
  • Maintain high standards through quality assurance and training for both prospective and current foster parents.
  • Engage in the recruitment, training, and supervision of foster parents while promoting the welfare of children placed with us.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload for effective supervision.
  • Conduct regular supervision sessions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Work in partnership with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in meetings and decision-making processes.
Requirements
  • Hold a Social Work England qualification or equivalent, and be registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience in fostering and a comprehensive understanding of fostering regulations, child care law, and safeguarding legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to high-quality practice.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends, and participate in an Out of Hours rota.
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases.
  • A full driving licence and unrestricted access to your own vehicle.
Working Conditions

This is a Full-Time position with a 12 Month Fixed Term Maternity Cover . You will work 37 hours per week in our Northwest office, starting in March 2026 .
