Über
To prepare, maintain, and restore a number of surfaces and areas and resort in residential and commercial areas. The Resort Decorator supports the delivery of a safe, compliant and high-quality environment for guests and team members by carrying out planned and reactive painting maintenance across accommodation, leisure facilities, entertainment venues, and back-of-house operations.
General Duties & Key Accountabilities
Decorator Maintenance & Repairs
- Surface preparation including, cleaning, sanding, stripping paint/wallpaper, filling cracks and applying primer/undercoat
- Calculating and materials and tools required to complete set task
- Ensure brand specifications are adhered to
- Ensuring application of paint, varnishes and glazes is applied using correct tools
- Ensure minimal disruption to guests and operations when completing works.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all paint tasks are carried out ensuring H&S requirements are meet, including but not limited to use of PPE, handing of solvents, ensuring adequate ventilation requirements and working at heights if applicable
- Support incident response when required.
Operational Support
- Support operational teams with painting requirements for day to day task in residential areas, commercial areas and events, entertainment and seasonal attractions as required.
- Ensure tools, materials and parts are available and stock levels maintained.
- Ensure all items used adhere to Brand standards
- Work collaboratively with the wider maintenance and facilities team.
Guest & Team Experience
- Work in a professional and guest-focused manner when operating in public areas.
- Provide advice and support to resort departments.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping in all work areas.
Experience & Qualification Requirements
- Proven experience as a painter in a commercial or multi-site environment.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workload.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible approach to working hours and operational demands.
