Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order lists.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects before packing.
- Carefully pack items into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and any necessary documentation to packages.
- Operate manual and powered equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of provided PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as directed.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily picking and packing targets.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in logistics and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a picker or packer is an advantage but not required.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 40 lbs repetitively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to following all safety procedures and using required PPE.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended shifts.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
