We are recruiting an experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our St. Louis, Missouri warehouse. This position is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for conducting regular inventory audits, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency with inventory management systems. You will collaborate with warehouse staff and management to optimize stock levels and prevent loss. Responsibilities:
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and report on stock conditions.
- Work with receiving and shipping departments to ensure accurate transaction processing.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory items.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and use required PPE.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Experience with RF scanning equipment is a plus.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
