Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records at our Houston, Texas facility. This vital role ensures the integrity of our stock levels, minimizing discrepancies and optimizing warehouse operations. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating stock discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions. Your expertise will directly impact our logistics efficiency, preventing stockouts and overstock situations. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of inventory management systems. You will work closely with warehouse staff, management, and potentially purchasing departments to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Implement and improve inventory control procedures and policies.
  • Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and report on product shelf life.
  • Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure accurate transaction processing.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend adjustments.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.
  • Adhere to all company safety regulations and the use of required PPE.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Experience with RF scanning equipment is beneficial.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE.
