Our facility in Detroit, Michigan, is looking for a diligent Warehouse Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be integral to the efficient operation of our warehouse, contributing to our overall logistics chain. Your responsibilities will include receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders, packing and shipping goods, and maintaining inventory accuracy. We are seeking individuals who are energetic, detail-oriented, and dedicated to ensuring a safe and productive work environment. Teamwork and effective communication are essential for success in this fast-paced setting. This position requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including regular lifting and moving of various products. A strict commitment to safety, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory at all times. Your efforts will directly support our logistics operations and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Sort, stock, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders for shipment.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring correct labeling and documentation.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of warehouse aisles and work areas.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned to support logistics.
- Perform tasks involving frequent manual lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse or general labor experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring significant physical exertion, including frequent lifting and standing.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics concepts.
- Strong dedication to safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Reliable and punctual attendance is crucial.
