Job Summary:
Our dynamic warehouse in Miami, Florida, is looking for a precise and organized Inventory Control Specialist. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy of our stock, ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including cycle counting, discrepancy resolution, stock adjustments, and process improvement. You will work closely with receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping departments to guarantee the integrity of our inventory data within the Warehouse Management System (WMS). A strong analytical mind, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to Safety are paramount. This position requires initiative, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Ensuring proper handling of all materials and adherence to safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is a core requirement.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain precise inventory records in the WMS, processing adjustments and transfers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify stock-outs, overages, or slow-moving items.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
  • Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure proper storage and handling of goods.
  • Train staff on inventory control best practices.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures related to inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
  • Support the logistics department by providing reliable inventory data and insights.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics field.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability for moderate physical exertion, including occasional Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
  • Dedication to workplace Safety and implementing best practices.
