Are you an experienced Shipping Clerk looking for a stable role in Charlotte, North Carolina? We are hiring for a key position responsible for overseeing our outbound shipments. Your duties will include preparing shipping documents, accurately packing orders, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring that all shipments meet company and carrier standards. This role is vital for maintaining customer satisfaction and the efficiency of our logistics operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to workplace safety are essential. We provide a safe working environment, requiring the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety guidelines. Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and process all shipping labels, manifests, and other required documentation.
- Verify outgoing orders against pick tickets for accuracy.
- Package items securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, LTL) for pickups and tracking.
- Maintain organized shipping supplies and work areas.
- Communicate shipment status updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed to support logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar role is required.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
