We are seeking a motivated Shipping & Receiving Associate for our Omaha, Nebraska facility. This dual-role position is essential to our supply chain, managing both the inbound and outbound flow of goods. You will be responsible for receiving shipments, verifying contents, stocking inventory, picking and preparing orders for shipment, and coordinating with carriers. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency. As part of our logistics team, you will play a key role in ensuring that our products reach their destinations promptly and safely. Safety is paramount; all employees are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow strict safety guidelines. The job involves frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs and requires you to be on your feet for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify against purchase orders, and inspect for damage.
- Unload delivery trucks and properly store received goods.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment.
- Stage shipments for carrier pickup and complete necessary documentation.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and external partners.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping and receiving documentation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory management principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
