We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Tampa, Florida. This role is critical for ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of all outgoing shipments. You will be responsible for processing shipping orders, preparing documentation, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records. Responsibilities:
- Process incoming and outgoing shipping orders accurately.
- Prepare and verify all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading and manifests.
- Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Ensure all packages are properly labeled and addressed.
- Maintain organized and accurate shipping records.
- Communicate with internal departments and external customers regarding shipment status.
- Operate shipping software and warehouse management systems.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Follow guidelines for safe Lifting and handling of packages.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role is required.
- Proficiency in shipping software and common carrier systems.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety practices.
