We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our fast-paced logistics facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the flow of materials throughout our warehouse, ensuring operational efficiency and safety. Your responsibilities will include moving, organizing, and preparing materials for various stages of the logistics process. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, possess a strong work ethic, and have a keen awareness of safety protocols. You will be expected to operate various types of material handling equipment and contribute to a well-organized and productive warehouse environment. Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely are crucial. Responsibilities:
- Move, sort, and organize materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other transport.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and potentially forklifts (if certified).
- Ensure materials are properly stored and accessible.
- Assist with inventory counts and verification.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, adhering to safety standards.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support shipping and receiving operations as directed.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics network.
Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role. Ability to perform demanding physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. Good knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices. Understanding of basic logistics principles. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
