We are looking for experienced Shipping & Receiving Associates to join our busy distribution center in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this vital role, you will be at the forefront of our supply chain, ensuring that all inbound and outbound shipments are handled with accuracy and efficiency. You will be responsible for the meticulous management of goods entering and leaving our facility, contributing directly to the seamless flow of our logistics operations. If you have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to operational excellence, this position is for you. This role requires physical stamina and a dedication to Safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Accept, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders.
- Accurately document all incoming and outgoing goods using our inventory management system.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products according to customer orders and shipping carrier requirements.
- Load outbound shipments onto trucks, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution.
- Maintain an organized and clean shipping and receiving dock area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and proficiently (certification preferred).
- Coordinate with carriers and internal departments to resolve any shipping discrepancies or delays.
- Perform regular inventory checks and assist in maintaining accurate stock levels.
- Uphold the highest standards in logistics and supply chain management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a Shipping & Receiving role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Proficiency in using scanning equipment and warehouse management software.
- Strong understanding of shipping documentation and procedures.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of items up to 60 pounds.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- A strong commitment to Safety and teamwork.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Valid driver's license may be required for certain duties.
