Join our team as a Shipping Clerk in Des Moines, Iowa, and play a key role in ensuring our products reach customers efficiently and accurately. This position is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, processing shipping documentation, and coordinating with carriers. You will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our logistics operations and ensuring customer satisfaction. We offer competitive pay and a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Verify order details and shipping information to ensure accuracy.
- Create shipping labels and documentation, including bills of lading.
- Operate shipping software and equipment, such as scales and printers.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Inspect outgoing packages to ensure they are properly sealed and labeled.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, adhering to all Safety guidelines.
- Wear and correctly use all required PPE, such as safety glasses and gloves.
- Follow procedures for manual handling and Lifting of packages, adhering to weight limits.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed, such as cycle counts.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to resolve shipping issues.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in shipping procedures and logistics best practices.
