Our Virginia Beach, Virginia location is looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting regular inventory audits, investigating discrepancies, and implementing measures to prevent shrinkage. The ideal candidate has a sharp analytical mind, exceptional attention to detail, and a strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse Logistics . You will play a key part in optimizing stock rotation, ensuring product availability, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize errors and shrinkage.
- Monitor stock levels and identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Assist in the organization and layout of warehouse storage areas to optimize space and accessibility.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all inventory items.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and proper use of PPE .
- Collaborate with the receiving and shipping departments to ensure seamless inventory flow.
- Perform tasks that may involve light to moderate Lifting , up to 30 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or similar role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse Logistics .
- Proficiency with WMS software and MS Excel.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to upholding workplace Safety standards and PPE usage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including occasional Lifting .
