Our state-of-the-art distribution center in Madison, Wisconsin, is seeking dedicated Distribution Center Associates to support our busy operations. This role is integral to our logistics network, involving a variety of tasks such as receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to a high-performance team. A strong understanding of warehouse procedures and a commitment to following safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE, are essential. This is an excellent opportunity to build a career in the logistics sector.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Store and organize inventory accurately within the distribution center.
- Pick and pack orders according to specific customer requirements using RF scanners.
- Operate various material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, dollies).
- Load finished orders onto trucks for shipment, ensuring proper securing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all regulations.
- Perform regular equipment checks and report any maintenance needs.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist with physical inventories.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals for logistics efficiency.
- Assist in other warehouse functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and inventory management systems is a plus.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Understanding of warehouse safety standards and the necessity of using provided PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
