Join our fast-paced warehouse team in Atlanta, Georgia, as a Material Handler. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our Logistics processes, involving the movement of goods within the facility. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, and preparing materials for shipment. The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding high standards of Safety and organization. Prior warehouse experience is beneficial, but a strong willingness to learn and contribute is highly valued. We are dedicated to providing a safe environment for all our employees, with strict adherence to Safety protocols and the mandatory use of appropriate PPE. Your contribution is essential to our Logistics success.
Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, ensuring safe handling of goods.
- Moving materials from receiving to storage areas, and from storage to production or shipping.
- Operating manual pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Verifying the accuracy of received items against documentation.
- Picking items for orders and preparing them for distribution.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
- Following all established Safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Wearing and utilizing all required PPE, such as safety vests and gloves.
- Assisting with inventory checks and stock counts.
- Reporting any damages or discrepancies in materials immediately.
Requirements:
- Physical ability to perform tasks including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and Logistics concepts.
- Ability to work effectively in a team or independently.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Willingness to follow instructions and Safety procedures.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
