We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our bustling warehouse in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will play a key part in our Logistics chain, ensuring timely movement of goods within the facility and preparing them for dispatch. The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating various types of forklifts, a strong commitment to Safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role requires adherence to strict operational procedures and the proper use of required PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers, ensuring proper stacking and securing of goods.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment, ensuring all items are accounted for.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and Logistics.
- Utilize required PPE, such as safety vests and steel-toed boots.
- Operate other warehouse equipment as needed, such as pallet jacks.
- Contribute to a team environment by assisting colleagues and communicating effectively.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Ability to perform tasks involving frequent Lifting of materials up to 70 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety protocols and procedures.
- Familiarity with Logistics and supply chain operations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods.
