We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk for our Tampa, Florida facility. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring that all deliveries are accurately documented, inspected, and processed efficiently. Your role is critical in maintaining inventory integrity and supporting the overall flow of our Logistics operations. A strong commitment to Safety and the correct use of PPE is essential. This is an ideal position for someone who thrives in a structured environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the quantity and quality of goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect items for damage and report any discrepancies or issues.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Stage received items for put-away by other warehouse staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Follow all established Safety protocols and procedures.
- Wear and properly use all required PPE , including safety vests, gloves, and safety shoes.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
- Handle tasks that may involve some physical exertion, including occasional Lifting of boxes or smaller items.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with inventory software is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and Logistics flow.
- Commitment to maintaining a secure and Safety -conscious workplace.
