Job Summary:
Are you a skilled technician passionate about maintaining warehouse operations? We are looking for a Warehouse Technician to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of warehouse equipment and facilities, ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly and safely. Your expertise will be crucial in preventing downtime and ensuring the efficiency of our warehouse. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to Safety. You will work collaboratively with the warehouse management team to support all aspects of our logistics infrastructure. A thorough understanding of Safety protocols, including the use of PPE and safe Lifting techniques, is essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyor systems, and pallet jacks.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of the warehouse facilities and equipment.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
  • Respond promptly to repair requests and emergency maintenance needs.
  • Ensure proper inventory management of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
  • Promote a strong Safety culture throughout the warehouse.
  • Ensure all team members are using appropriate PPE and following safe work practices.
  • Support Logistics operations by minimizing equipment downtime.
  • Assist with tasks involving material handling and occasional Lifting.
  • Train warehouse staff on basic equipment operation and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanics or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse equipment and machinery.
  • Familiarity with Safety standards and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including some Lifting and working in various environmental conditions.
  • Understanding of basic logistics operations.
