Join our vibrant logistics team in Seattle, Washington, as an Order Picker! This role is fundamental to our operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. As an Order Picker, your primary responsibility will be to locate and retrieve specified items from our warehouse shelves using order lists or scanning equipment. Precision and speed are key in this fast-paced environment. You will ensure that the correct products and quantities are picked, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and the overall success of our logistics network. Maintaining a safe work environment by following all safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is a non-negotiable aspect of this role. This position requires physical stamina, as you will be on your feet throughout your shift and will be involved in regular lifting of items up to 50 lbs. We value individuals with excellent attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Experience with warehouse management systems and hand-held scanners is a plus. Responsibilities:
- Receive and interpret order picking instructions accurately.
- Locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse inventory.
- Verify product details and quantities against order requirements.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Operate hand-held scanners and warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Properly use and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report any inventory inaccuracies or damaged items promptly.
- Meet individual and team productivity goals for order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Capability for frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
