We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring that all goods are accurately recorded, inspected, and processed into our inventory system. Your diligence is critical for maintaining accurate stock levels and supporting the overall efficiency of our warehouse operations. - Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments.
- Verify contents against packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices for accuracy.
- Document all discrepancies, damages, or shortages and report them to management.
- Enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS) accurately and promptly.
- Tag and label received goods for proper identification and storage.
- Prepare goods for put-away and coordinate with other departments for distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, ensuring safety and accessibility.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the appropriate use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and data entry.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
