Job Summary:
Our Nashville, Tennessee facility is looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records. This role is vital to our operations, ensuring that our stock levels are precise and our warehouse is organized. You will be responsible for tracking inventory, conducting audits, and implementing procedures to minimize discrepancies. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and possesses excellent problem-solving skills. Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track stock movements, generate reports, and manage bin locations.
  • Manage the receiving and put-away process, ensuring items are accurately recorded and stored.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as purchasing and shipping, to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Oversee the proper handling and storage of all materials to prevent damage and loss.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and inventory tracking tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform manual tasks, including occasional heavy lifting.
  • Knowledge of logistics principles and supply chain best practices.
  • Understanding and adherence to safety standards, including the use of PPE.
