Are you a proven leader with a passion for efficient logistics? We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Kansas City, Missouri. In this critical role, you will oversee all daily warehouse operations, ensuring productivity, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards. Your responsibilities will include managing inventory, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, optimizing workflows, and supervising warehouse staff. You will be responsible for training and mentoring your team, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. This role requires a strong understanding of logistics management, inventory control, and warehouse safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). You will play a key part in maintaining optimal stock levels, ensuring the efficient movement of goods, and managing equipment maintenance. Problem-solving and effective communication are essential as you liaise with other departments and external partners. We are looking for a proactive leader who can drive performance, implement best practices, and contribute to the overall success of our distribution center. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Manage and motivate warehouse staff, providing training and performance feedback.
- Ensure adherence to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations, including proper PPE usage.
- Oversee inventory management and control systems to maintain accuracy.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows for maximum efficiency.
- Implement and enforce best practices in logistics and material handling.
- Maintain warehouse equipment and ensure a safe working environment.
- Coordinate with carriers and other logistics partners.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on operational efficiency.
- Resolve operational issues and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in warehouse supervision or management. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics management. In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, including PPE requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and relevant software. Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime. Commitment to fostering a positive and productive work environment.
