We are seeking a diligent Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team in Portland, Oregon. This dual-role position is vital for managing the inbound and outbound flow of goods within our logistics facility. As a Shipping & Receiving Associate, you will be responsible for accurately receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents, stocking goods, and accurately preparing outgoing shipments. Your role is crucial in ensuring the integrity of our supply chain and contributing to efficient warehouse operations. A keen focus on Safety, the proper use of PPE, and the ability to handle physical tasks, including frequent Lifting, are essential. You will work closely with other team members to maintain organization and ensure timely processing of all goods.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify packing slips against received goods and report any discrepancies.
- Stock received inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment accurately.
- Process shipping documentation, including creating labels and manifests.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and shipping software.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in various warehouse conditions.
- Willingness to follow all Safety guidelines and wear necessary PPE.
